Programs
FAAAF offers year-round programs that support emerging filmmakers, empower youth, and strengthen creative communities. Through film education, artist development, and community partnerships, we provide pathways for storytellers to learn, grow, and share their voices.
What We Do
Our programs are designed to nurture creativity, expand access to filmmaking, and uplift Black and BIPOC storytellers at every stage of their journey.
Reel Kids
Reel Kids introduces young creators to the art of filmmaking through workshops, summer film camps, and hands-on storytelling projects. Students learn camera work, editing, collaboration, and creative expression. The program helps youth build confidence and discover their voices on screen.
Producers Institute
The Producers Institute prepares emerging filmmakers for the creative and business sides of the industry. Participants learn project development, producing fundamentals, pitching, budgeting, and professional skills. The program builds a foundation for long-term growth and career readiness in film and media.
Community Partnerships
FAAAF builds lasting collaborations with schools, cultural organizations, and community partners across the region. These relationships create new opportunities for youth, support emerging filmmakers, and strengthen the creative ecosystem that surrounds our programs.
